Nolan, McMillen Dominate 2025 Evansville Half Marathon
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Austin Nolan and Lauren McMillen claimed victory at the 2025 Evansville Half Marathon on Friday, October 4, leading a competitive field of runners through the scenic Evansville course in ideal fall racing conditions.
Nolan crossed the finish line in 1:04:21, establishing himself as the clear men’s champion with a commanding performance that put him nearly 10 minutes ahead of his closest competitor. The victory continues Nolan’s strong showing in regional distance running events.
On the women’s side, McMillen controlled the race from start to finish, clocking 1:30:33 to secure first place. Her time gave her just over a minute cushion over runner-up Ashley Davis, who finished in 1:31:36.
Men’s Half Marathon Top 10
The men’s race saw Jason Howell take second place in 1:14:08, while Logan Brown rounded out the podium with a time of 1:15:43. Cody Chapman (1:17:49) and Dawson Schroeder (1:17:51) engaged in a thrilling battle for fourth place, separated by just two seconds.
Darin Lawrence finished sixth in 1:18:50, followed by Wes Camp in seventh at 1:21:03. John Pitonyak claimed eighth place with a time of 1:21:19, while Jeff Grunow and Nathaniel Higbie shared the 1:23:09 finishing time to close out the top 10.

Women’s Half Marathon Top 10
Behind McMillen’s winning performance, the women’s race featured tight competition throughout the top 10. Taylor Collins finished third in 1:32:27, followed by Jennifer Zieren in fourth at 1:33:41. Amy Johnson rounded out the top five with a 1:34:10 finish.
Bridget Butcher-Mahoney placed sixth in 1:36:33, while Kathy Herrmann crossed the line seventh at 1:37:18. The battle for eighth through tenth was particularly close, with Sarah Moore (1:38:20), Brittanie Daubert (1:38:22), and Morgan Joyce (1:38:32) all finishing within 12 seconds of each other.

5-Mile Race Results
The accompanying 5-mile race featured impressive performances from runners tackling the shorter distance, with Brian Joyce and Katelyn Lemond emerging as champions.
Joyce dominated the men’s 5-mile race, finishing in 27:23 to claim a decisive victory. Kentaro Yamada secured second place in 32:49, more than five minutes behind the winner, while Madison Sewell rounded out the podium in 33:12.
The women’s 5-mile race came down to a thrilling four-second margin, with Lemond edging out Christine Leraris Riddle, who finished in 37:57. Meagan McNicholas took third place in 38:18.
