A Century of Community Events

The River City 5 & 10 Miler’s designation as Tri-State Fitness’s 100th locally-produced event represents years of commitment to the running and fitness community. Since its inception, Tri-State Fitness has consistently organized quality racing experiences that showcase Evansville’s natural beauty while promoting healthy, active lifestyles.

The race course, which begins and ends at Lamasco Park with the entirety run on the Greenway passage, has become a favorite among local runners for its flat, fast surface and scenic river views. The out-and-back format allows spectators to cheer runners at multiple points along the route.

Participants in this year’s event received custom finisher medals and t-shirts designed to recall the history of the Sterling Brewing Company of Evansville, continuing Tri-State Fitness’s tradition of providing memorable keepsakes that celebrate both individual achievement and local history. The Sterling Brewing Company theme perfectly complemented the post-race beer celebration, creating a cohesive tribute to Evansville’s rich brewing heritage.

The success of Sunday’s event sets a positive tone for the remainder of the local racing calendar, with several more Tri-State Fitness events scheduled throughout the fall season.
